On 24 September 2024, the very first workshop dedicated to the New European Bauhaus (NEB) took place at the Sustainable Places Conference in Luxembourg. The session was co-facilitated by Clémentine Coujard from Dowel innovation, Larissa De Rosso from Architects’ Council of Europe (ACE-CAE) Kelly Riedesel from NTNU, and Eva Čeh from InnovaWood network.
In addition, InnovaWood’s Eva Ceh represented digiNEB and AEGIR projects during the session.
The objectives of the session were to raise awareness of the NEB among a diverse audience of experts from the built environment, explore how they address the NEB values in their respective R&D projects, and identify the remaining challenges towards the further implementing the NEB.
Forty participants joined the session in person, principally representing a mixed background of experts from the built environment. A participatory approach was adopted, dividing the participants into small working groups to enable discussion and brainstorming, as well as to collect input. The results of the discussions were published in this summary article.
