Between the 4th and the 6th of November 2024, InnovaWood team members Vanesa Baño, Oliver Jancke, and Uwe Kies attended the kick-off of the WoodStock project in Affligem, Belgium.
WoodStock is a multifaceted project aimed at promoting climate-smart wooden construction practices in line with the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative. The meeting brought together all project partners from various fields and European countries to explore innovative wood-based solutions for sustainable building. Over three days, participants discussed project work packages, including Living Labs, climate-smart resource management, zero-waste construction techniques, and the development of a European Wood Construction Observatory.
WoodStock is a Horizon Europe project involving 13 European partners. Through innovative solutions and Living Labs in the Netherlands, Ireland, Norway, Poland, France, and Slovenia, WoodStock will advance circular design, carbon reduction, and policy innovation for a greener future.
